The Vaser LipoSelection is basically ultrasonic liposuction. The basic advantages of LipoSelection over traditional liposuction include much speedier recoveries, low to minimal pain, and the ability to target small areas such as knees, thighs, ankles, cheeks, chins and “cankles”–the calf and ankle areas.
LipoSelection has a faster recovery time because it uses the ultrasound technology to liquefy fat before it is suctioned out of the body, which also provides the minimal pain and bruising in contrast to more traditional methods. Besides, the price of LipoSelection is close to the price of traditional liposuction yet still results in high satisfaction rates. What is there to lose, other than a few pesky fat cells?

Liposelection by Vaser is a great procedure given it is a new generation of Ultrasound assisted lipoplasty ( UAL ). I have been in the OR as a PA in traditional liposuction procedures. When i experienced the VASER UAL procedure I testified the benefits to both the physician and the patient: less risk of complications post procedure, less bruising, faster recovery time, etc. If i were a patient looking for liposuction i would seek advice from a professional specialist (plastic surgeon) that has performed both types of liposuction: traditional and with the VAser. hope this helps…

I have just had Vaser Lipo of the abd and hips. I am not a wimp but the comments I have read about just taking over the the counter pain mes are baloney. 2 weeks out I am on 1 pain pill a day, but the first week was really tough. The fluid shifts can affect your blood pressure also so be careful. Complications = seromas that have had to be drained twice in this time frame

I had the Vaser Liposelection on my thighs, hips and abs 13 weeks ago. I am still swollen and sore in many spots. The information I read about fast healing and a pain free procedure were far from the truth. before getting the procedure speak w/former patients so you have a real understanding of your post surgery healing time.

3 weeks post abs & muffin tops, I agree recovery is missold. Although I rate my surgeon as excellent, the pain on night 1-3 was awful. I felt like I'd been skinned then salted. Painkillers slightly helped. I am lumpy, hard and sore still, with numb areas too. I am not panicking (yet) but though reduction is impressive I hope lumps etc will disappear with time. I do not feel anyway normal yet.
