Born in Monterrey, Mexico, Dr. Perez knew from a young age that he wanted to pursue a career in the medical field. He completed his surgical residency at University Hospital in Monterrey. He moved to the United States to complete his surgical training, including residencies at Cook County Hospital in Chicago and Western Reserve Care System in Ohio. He completed his plastic surgery residency at Loma Linda University Medical Center in California.
Dr. Perez has more than two decades of experience in plastic surgery. He is board certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery. He is the Chief of Surgery Service at the VA Medical Center in Kansas City. He founded his private practice in 2009.
