The National Library of Medicine has been developing AIDS information
services since the AIDS crisis began in the 1980's, and have created
this site as a way to reach more people. In order for people to combat
the AIDS epidemic, it is vital that they have a comprehensive AIDS
information service.

Library of Medicine is responsible for information resources
and services in specialized topics in minority health. the HIV/AIDS
Information SIS provides scientists,
physicians, educators, and other health professionals with the
latest information on AIDS research, diagnosis, treatment, control,
and
prevention. Clinics and other types
of service providers have access to high quality, accurate and
timely information for their staff and clients, and consumers can
recieve appropriate information for decision-making about their behavioral
choices and treatment. NLM also provides access to a wide variety
of selected and reviewed links to additional resources, both for
consumers and health professionals.
The National Library of Medicine (NLM), on the campus of the National
Institutes of Health in Bethesda, Maryland, is the world's largest
